Is it just me or did BlitzCoder not redirect to CodersWorkshop before? And where are the BlitzCoder archives.

BTW: Jay, you could log into the site before (several months ago).

BlitzCoder has re-directed to CodersWorkshop from the time it shut down as far as I know, that's how I found CodersWorkshop. I still managed to log in back then but couldn't make any posts, I have since then forgotten the exact format of my username so now I can't try it out again .

Blitzcoder to return
The rumor has been doing the rounds for about a week now, the blitz basic community (blitzcoder.com) is coming back this year and will hopefully bring back the old magic that made it so popular back in the day. Most of the old members have since moved on, but there’s still plenty of blitzers around who’ll be glad to see it back online.

After replacing BlitzBasement, Blitzcoder (founded by John “Krylar” Logsdon of ChristianCoders) was taken over by Idigicon Ltd (formerly Guildhall Leisure) who moved the community to CodersWorkshop, which then closed, leaving the remaining few to split off into independent forums, one of which was the Devcrunch forums.

Confused? There’s more.. we just closed our forums in favour of a news/resource blog (how’s that for timing?) so anyone who’s been around since the early days will probably come full-circle and return to Blitzcoder.

Even if it does come back i doubt there will be any magic rejouvination -- its far too late and its been far too long.

If it returns it will be the third website that looks like this one.
Everyone seems to be copying Krylars original design.

There are other designs on this site, though! And the BC one was only added when I saw Steve Ancell's "A BlitzCoder clone" quote, ages ago. Like I said, I should really take it down once BC returns. Or at the very least stop it being the default one!
Any suggestions for a new default theme?

.. Oh, and ChristianCoders are apparently about to change to a whole new design. See here

That's because it looks so damn good.

|edit| Ya' never know, if BlitzCoder makes a comeback, may'be Jay might be asked to be one of the moderators, he knows a good design when he sees it, that's why SoCoder looks like BlitzCoder. |edit|

I kinda like it, too, but I'm using a nice bright LCD monitor. Looks a bit cack on my CRT.
Stealth said it looks dark on his CRT.
Any other opinions?

good for you and shroom.

whatever....

I like the name Socoder.
Me thinks too many cooks and mushrooms spoil the broth.

The only time I like mushrooms is on a pizza.

No, I wasn't suggesting a name change... SoCoder is fine! I was talking about when Jay was saying about the new default style if he removed the BC one. 'ShroomCoder' is the name of the mushroom one. I was just joking, saying that should be the main style.
