Oh I get it, the URL was only partial.

I still don't see the point in this, it's just a bluetooth controller for an iPhone based emulator. I want dedicated retro computers.

It's pretty nasty IMHO.

What's the point in re-creating a machine then castrating it by turning it into some bastard hybrid controller. It would have been better to recreate the Spectrum with a set of nice Atari compliant controllers included (ie the standard 8pin socket as seen on Atari, CPC, C64, Amiga, MegaDrive etc.

|edit|
An SD reader instead of a tape/disk option would have been nice too.

Yeah, a nice idea, badly presented.
To be honest, pretty much ALL of these modern "It's BACK!" systems have been a bit lacklustre.
I know that, technically, you can open up the C64 "On a chip" system, add a PS2 keyboard, and even a tape deck to it.. ..But why not just release the device with that stuff, ready and willing?! Why hide it!?
And the Atari 2600 one apparently can be fiddled with to add a proper Atari Cartridge port. .. Why not give us the damn port to begin with!?

As for this, well, it WOULD be nice to have a little ZX Bluetooth Keyboard.. I mean, seriously.. Mmmm...

But other than that, there are enough issues with Elite Systems to fill a book. And Rob Fearon's written the book!!

Indeed.

That BlueTooth Speccy was a joke, with Elite trying to pull a massive fast one which left egg all over its face and lots and lots of very angry Speccy coders and users.

I wonder if Matthew Smith gets burned by them like he was burned by everyone else. It seems they have him in their employment but we don't seem to hear too much about him.

I dunno, they probably would've sold really well.
Some of the megadrive (*Genesis) ones come with a cartridge containing the "built in games", which you can then remove, and replace with your actual carts.
Thats a nice way to do it, IMO.

As for Matt Smith.. Yeah, I think he got screwed, too, otherwise we'd've all have heard about "the third willy" by now..

On topic(ish), I've erm, bid on an Amstead 6128 with tv modulator!!!

Bid on one before but I was pissed and the next morning I was like "oh, fooling 'ell" and was relieved to have been beaten, but, I've had one of them "just need to buy something" moments and I'm gunning for it! Teehehehehehe

A man with just two Willy's deserves his publicity.
