I'll have a go!  Dabz --- Nah... Same as you Dave! Maybe it's the sheer size of the text... Never realized it was that long when I was fume typing!  Dabz --- I think thats what it does when you reply several times before anyone else... Keeps it tidy! Dabz -=-=- Well, there's the first argument of the year, with my boss... Basically, I use my own car for work, and hes asked me to go to two sites tomorrow (Clocked it using Google maps): Linkage Told him that I would've done it in a company van, which I asked for when my Astra van give up the ghost, but after him going the scenic route to saying no, there's noooo way I'm letting them thrash my car after all the money I spent on it (wheels, brake pads, repaired prop shaft, it now has a new timing belt, water pump and other odds and ends)... And I even said "And dont give me the 'Well, we've got nowt else so you'll have to sit in the house' threat, cos as soon as you do that, I'm off"... I was prewarned about that tactic... Told me to ring another supervisor to see if he had anything else up Corbridge way and hung up! First day back... Didnt mean to bork it, and aye, it was a ramble, hence why I never realized I'd produced such a wall of text... Sorry bonny lad!  First, if your car's not insured for business use and you have a crash while you're using it for work, you're screwed. To and from place of work, home->site->home, I should have commercial if I'm visiting multiple sites, which I do on occasions, not always. Second they should be paying you 45p/mile if you do use it for work. Yep, get that, but, doesnt cover wear and tear really though, and some of that is taxable mind, so, doesnt really cover much. Last, if they've got vans, I'd be bloody well using their vans instead of putting miles on my own. Well, thats the thing, when I came back I got promised a van, then, it didnt happen for whatever reasons they havent said. And this is why I put my foot down, if they cannot organise work properly, then, thats they're fault, not mine!
