Anybody know about telescopes? My 7yr old is going astronomy mad and demanding a telescope but I don't want to get a shit one that you can't see anything with.

We've been thinking about getting one too, did quite a bit of research last year.

For the price Dobsonians are the best bang for buck, also get one with at least a 6" aperture (more the better).

Dont buy one which says its got 10000x zoom, its just marketing.
