I finally remembered about adding the Basic forum!

Is this a new section, or is it replacing something?

It's new. I'd planned to add it ages ago (see earlier posts on this very topic!) but never got round to doing it.

.. Hmm.

Whilst on the subject of replacing forum sections.
1) Socode-a-thon
Nothing against Stealth, but I think we can safely assume this isn't happening.
2) Question of the Day
Nothing against me, but I think we can safely assume this isn't happening.
3) Python/Ruby
Nothing against Diablo, but I think we can safely assume this isn't happening.. (although I just noticed a bug which means you can't post anything in there!)

Also, the Retro, Console and Handheld coding sections are a little unused, right now. For reference, I'm planning to make June "BBC Micro Basic" month, because I think that might be fun to try out, and also the emulators are pretty much as legal as emulators get. (and.. you know.. it's not that dodgy ZX Spectrum J=Load type garbage!)

So, anyway.. If anyone can think of anything quick and easy to replace the sections listed above, I'll consider it.

As question of the day is closed to everyone except you (and maybe Phoenix), it's not a surprise it's dead. I wanted to post a question the other day.

I'd suggest adding an automatic 'QOTD ' prefix to all new topics in there, and opening it up to the public. It's as though you have something to hide.

Are you nuts!? Do you know how much tweaking that'd take!! (about a minute... but still!)

I typically only ever posted QOTD's when the rest of the forum was looking a little empty. (Same as I did over at CW)
But, sure. If you think it'd be better open, I'll go do that.
