Imagine if a blind person went to an art gallery, do they have the right to sue because they can't see the paintings?

Now I'm sure that being deaf or blind is fairly shit. But this mentality of suing everybody is getting silly. If you've bought pop concert tickets for three deaf people then that's your own stupid fault. Can't book it then start making personal demands. Aside from the fact that having an interpreter dad-dancing and signing on the stage probably ruined it for everybody else there.

TBH being deaf at a Little Mix concert is probably a benefit, I would have thought!

From the article In order that she and her two friends could fully access the performance, Sally asked the organisers, LHG Live, to provide a British Sign Language interpreter

I feel sorry for any deafness interpreter that has to relay every vocal of that concert. Fucking hell his or her arms are gonna really fucking ache!

If she was offered an interpreter, and took the offer of the interpreter, then I can see how she might be a bit pissed if there wasn’t one.
In the "blind to an Art Gallery" scenario, imagine going, being given wireless headphones for the in-gallery audio description stuff, but then being told that "90% of the network isn't working today."
Or how about going to the world's greatest seafood restaurant, only to be told there's been no delivery of seafood, so you’ll have to have the chicken.

It’s not about "does or doesn't".. it's about being TOLD that it does, and then it not having.

(* on the other hand, if she just randomly rang and asked for a none-standard interpreter, I can see the other side... then she’s just being "that awkward customer")

I don't see anywhere where the concert promoters promised that interpreters were provided on the off-chance there happened to be deaf folk in?

What irritates me about these people is that she's taken her kids to see a group. Her kids can hear perfectly well - lovely for them.

She can't hear, but she doesn't want her kids going by themselves - I get that. But to then take two friends with her, who are also deaf? Then complain because none of them can bloody hear it??? Aside from how the hell do they know what Little Mix sound like in the first place, it's a completely misguided sense of entitlement and I don't consider interpreters at a pop concert to be construed as "reasonable adjustments".

What if they'd bough cheap seats and couldn't see far enough to the interpreter on the stage? Do they also have to provide free binoculars? Give them a free front-row upgrade? I'm sorry but it's fucking madness. What she's done is buy her tickets, then move the goalposts and expect the concert organiser to accommodate.

This is leftism gone mad. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind some lefties, I myself am somewhere about a quarter between centre and left. But there is left and there is falling over the fuckin' edge!
