For all you conspiracy nutjobs who might be getting paranoid about Facebook and other companies stealing your data.
Facebook, Settings, General, right at the bottom is a "Download a copy of your Facebook data" link.

Scanning through the data, there's pretty much nothing dodgy in mine, whatsoever.. Which is nice!
Friend list looks good, Nothing weird in Events, Nothing creepy in Security, and I now have over 100Mb of photos duplicated on my hard drive. Huzzah.

Really wasn't as interesting as I thought it was going to be.
I've led a boring Facebook life!!

There's really nothing on there that I haven't willingly put on myself.
Some people are suggesting that their phone calls and text messages are being duplicated on there, but I'm not seeing anything like that.
Maybe that's because I'm on iOS, and was previously on a "Nobody can be arsed to write anything for it" Windows Mobile. But prior to that, I've been through a couple of Android phones, too. So, really, I've had the whole gamut of tech, and any one of them "could" have done it.

But.. No.. Nothing..
Sorry folks, you'll have to physically hack my phone if you want to know the contents of my text messages.

 		People who don't put every single daily thought, whinge, rant and dinner photo on Facebook are sadly in a minority.

While Cambridge Analytica may be morally (at least) in the wrong to harvest user data from Facebook, people really have to take the responsibility for what they've put on there about themselves.
