Broke out here this week. 150 people being tested now, 10 have it. The eurovision festival hosted here probably will not happen now.

Had a couple of cases fairly nearby ~10 miles away, and found out on the lift home tonight that my lift back may have been near a guy who had it whilst on holiday in germany... around a week ago...geez!

Really hoping he doesn't get ill over the next few days. That's for certain.

Gonna avoid public transport 'n' things for a while methinks, back to the ol' on foot thing and grabbing some extra food on the way back from work. Just in-case things go sideways.

They're saying the symptoms are very Swine Flu like..
Been there, done that.
It certainly wasn't pleasant, but it was manageable.

It's scary seeing the stats, though.

My son had Swine flu when he was very young. It was scary as fuck for us, but he recovered very quickly. Coronavirus isn't anywhere near as dangerous, although the elderly and infirm should obviously try their best to avoid it.

Interesting to note that I've seen no reports of the virus mutating so far; hopefully a vaccine can be found quickly.

Eek. Can't imagine how scary that would've been even.
It's ok to say "we'll be fine", but as soon as it hits a loved one, the whole thing takes a drastic turn.

*hugs all around*
(But non-contact, ASCII hugs, just in case)

Greggs the bakery have vowed to continue to pay staff if they're "forced" to take time off.

Not sure what proof you'd need of that, but .. every little helps!

Greggs seem to treat their peeps really well, to be fair. I've heard good things from a mate who works at one.

Greggs staff got lovely bonuses last year because of the success of the Vegan sausage rolls. It's great that the company passes on a little to their staff.

Bond delayed 7 months. The movie's ready to go, but nobody wants to risk going to a crowded cinema to watch a movie called No Time To Die!

Jay Thought : Now would be the absolute perfect time to see what happens if you stick a huge epic box-office winner directly onto digital sales..

In italy 170 people now died in just 24 hours. There was a article where a italian actor told nobody would come collect the body of his dead sister. I read we(netherlands) are potentially 2 weeks from being in that breakout state where they are right now.

This week in our province(brabant) we should limit social interactions. All big (1000+) festivals are forbidden.

Yesterday I was at the supermarket and several goods were close to being sold out. The hoarding had started. There was a press conference where they told about new measures that triggered it.

It takes only a couple of customers to empty a shelve though.

The #hamsteren tag on twitter shows some pictures of dutch and belgian supermarkets being emptied.

When you have food for a week and do not have to go to the market(outside) than it might be a smart move to hoard?

Watched a vid last night about Australians panic buying toilet rolls. Tons and tons of them. The reporter asked "Why are you buying toilet rolls?" and not one person could give a good reason. They weren't buying foodstuffs or medications. Just toilet rolls.

LOL.

Despite working over the road from the quarrantine site (Kents Hill) in MK, and a couple of oldies dying in the hospital due to underlying conditions as well as C-Vid, we've not heard much at all. Hopefully it'll burn out before anyone close gets it.
