Random Electronic Project

I made another completely unrehearsed video. This demonstrates how you can use a practically dead 1.5 Volt battery to light up an LED, which wouldn't even light up on a brand new AA cell. This circuit will use the rest of the power that's left in the cell, when you would usually put it out for the recyclables collector, and convert the low voltage to the 3 Volts needed to light the LED.

Plenty of videos and articles online that explain how this circuit works, I'm absolutely pants at explaining, I'm more of a practical person than a teacher.

I made another circuit on a breadboard about a week ago, I ran eight LEDs on an old AA battery for thirteen hours.

Cool.
More of these, please!

I bought tons of fiddly little electronics kit pieces, a year or so ago, but never got around to doing anything.
.. that and the whole 3D printer thing.
Gawd, what a waste.
I need to get doing more none-gamedev things.

At some point I will be building a much better JT circuit, I want to see how many LEDs I can run off the power of a spud.
