Wall e 2

Well. If you thought there was not enough high quality art on the internet and such. This ai can draw!

I wonder if it could create sheets of sprites and tiles.

I've heard a lot of bad things from this. Mostly that it has a habit of reproducing copyright content in perfectly easily identifiable forms.

Also, slightly tempted NOT to change your mistyped title

Lol

I was reading they fixed the copyright stuff? They have a waiting list and are further improving things.

I think creating (high quality) art is going to get very easy in a couple of years.

Is Dall-E making its own language? Linkage

A crucial part of dall-e is a language model (gpt3) So any language quirks may be present I think.

I noticed a tweet by a father a while ago. Who's little daughter typed in a prompt of a unique kind of fluffy indoor shoes. He send the picture to a proffesional who then made the shoes for her.

Amazon has a catagory of ai art books. There is one 'populair' cartoon already.

I wonder how creative proffesionals will start to adopt. I have seen people writing about "Context Engineering" too.

Someone made a mini dall e on a website :

https://huggingface.co/spaces/dalle-mini/dalle-mini

It is a bit slow. And is a less potent version. It took around 2 minutes to generate some images.

Gosh, that's going to get hammered!!!

Might as well do the ultimate test. Does it know Platdude?

"Platdude is too tired from his marathon run."
> Reveal 🔎

And can it handle surreal oddness?
"How many lampposts does it take to change a monkey?"
> Reveal 🔎

Compared with NightCafe (which is still my favourite, so far)
"Platdude is too tired from his marathon run."
> Reveal 🔎

"How many lampposts does it take to change a monkey?"
> Reveal 🔎

I think there is a daily limit. With dall e 2. The closed beta test there is a limit of 50 a day. Maybe this mini dall e is based on last years version.

It does not do pixel art very well. But there is a whole world to win. With typing the right context.

I wil not upload any more to the site after this one. But I thought I try to generate something for my game.

I have been looking at the twitter images for dalle mini. They are better than I expected.

In a couple of months they are going to release a thing like this for video's. This according to a researcher on youtube.

I hope real good ai music gets here soon too.

It seems ai art is breaking through. A post on @weirddalle got 30.000 likes as of this moment. This with the dalle mini site.

It was a set of pictures of Jar jar binks, at the Neurenberg trials.

Crikey!
.. But to be fair, I've already spent an absolute buttload using NightCafe!

For photo's and regular art it is cheap. But it can not generate anything useful for in game gfx. Another problem is you wil just lost your money if the generation failed.

Someone mentioned it gotten a bit like gambling now.

Using NightCafe has been similar. You need to get a vibe for what works best with it, much like how coding is a case of knowing what will and won't work right.

I've so far been using it for YouTube Thumbnails, CoverArt, and enhancing the Daily Platdude Pixelart.
I don't think it's ready yet for ingame sprites. .. Though, again, it depends on what exactly you want out of it!

Meta ai (facebook) had shown their version too. It seems midjourney is the best and most affordable at the moment.

We'll have to wait and see how all of these end up working once we actually have hold of them.

"Gordon Freeman's therapy session wasn't going very well."

e'up!
Someone got the email, this morning!!
\o/yeay\o/

Price wise, NightCafe 100 credits for $9.99, Dall-E 115 credits for $15
However, typically I use the 2x size and 2x quality options on NightCafe, so each image uses 4 credits.
Dall-E on the other hand uses 1 credit per request, but outputs 4 variations.

In that respect, Dall-E's A LOT cheaper, and with the 4 variations you've got the choice of which one looks best.

Mmmm!

Dall-E, however, can only do square images, so I'll be sticking to NightCafe for my widescreen Platdude Pixelart enhancements.
.. I think..
Unless that changes in the future.
