ok i need some python tutorials for a friend of mine since he refuses to just use freebasic to learn the basic of coding

and refuses to use anything with curly brackets so java, C, C++ and a whole lot of others are out. so you guys got any good ones. also if you have any other languages for beginners please feel free to post them.

plus i've been meaning to learn python for awhile too

also a good IDE would be useful

For an IDE, just use Scite. It's just a text editor so it'd be more then enough for learning Python. There are probably also some Python plugins for Eclipse, VS and maybe NetBeans too.
