New features vs Bugs.
....
Those are the same things, aren't they?

Features upon features upon features that also rely on features from an unrelated feature.

Then you add user input.

What could possibly go wrong?!

Speak of the devil, someone at work ust got MPNs confused with EANs / barcodes, which has messed up all our auto-pricing.

Question of the Day : November 12th

How do you handle burnout in long projects?
Tue, 12 Nov 2024, 01:30

I preferred Burnout 3, because it had a menu.
As nice as Burnout Paradise is, it really took far too long, having to drive around everywhere to get to the next race.

Is there a tool you've heard about but haven't tried?

A soldering iron!

Like the unfinished projects....Many, oh so many.

I think I need to have more of a play iwth a soldering iron again sometime soon, but they are pretty easy to mess around with, I did some lil projects on Aliexpress which were good fun to put together. The ones cased in acrylic are more fun to wangle together if you're interested in them Jay

Here's the one I played about with.

I've been wondering if I should get one of those rechargeable soldering irons.. something fairly minimal... but am also worried it might be garbage, thus destroying my experience (see also : when I bought a cheap 3D printer)

I can attest to my cheapo £10 soldering iron being pretty good, it came with a bag of accessories which was handy.

Actually writing something. AI is a great help with that.

I'd love a 3d printer, but nowhere to put one and no willingness to lear how 3d works

The Ender 3 v3 "SE" 3D printer is incredibly cheap... I'm not sure why it's that cheap. I'm not sure what makes it "SE", but I think that might be "Second Edition", rather than "Cheaper SE" like Apple do...?

But it has Auto-Levelling, which I presume would also incorporate "the printer head actually reaches the sodding base, so you don't have to spend even more money adding 3 layers of glass before it'll print properly, and by then the base isn't quite warm enough, so things don't always go to plan."
... That's a "My shitty 3D printer" issue, by the way..

I mean, realistically it's been a good 7 or 8 years (Good grief) since I bought mine. Technology would (I presume) have advanced a fair bit in that amount of time.
Should be easy enough, nowadays.
Create your 3D Object, ( https://PixelCubes.art ftw!) send it through the Slicer tool (which should come with the printer, and is used to convert the object into slices of 3D print data) and then send that to the printer.
Mine was "Almost" that easy, aside from all the bits that didn't quite work right.
