     ; Another week, another newsletter.

We've officially got this thing running, now. All
it needs is a few dozen links, each week, and we can
          keep it going.

To be honest, I'll probably scrap this bit, next
week, 'cos it took me ages to thing of anything to
          go here!

Read Post$

     ; Crazy Magic
There used to be a day when folk were happy with
cards appearing from a deck of cards! People today
need more complex magic. Afr0's picked a great
          magician for everyone to see.

     ; Pink!!
If you're working in Blitz2D, you'll eventually come
across the lack of transparency which usually leads
to a slightly pinkish glow around your images.
Here's some hints and tips to try and help you get
around it, although it'll probably need some work.

     ; After school
An inexplicably large number of forum members are
all     leaving school in the near future. We ask them
what their plans are for the future, and wonder how
the rest of us got so old.
     socoder.net/?topic=1546

     ; Socoder.com?
About a month ago, we finally got hold of the .com,
but is it there for show, or are people actually
using the new url? And why are people so upset by
the use of the Grey+Green theme for the .com?

     ; wednesday Workshop
4 people managed to enter WW200. 4 lovely little
games, all wrapped up into tiny pieces of code!
     socoder.net/?a=12&w=200

This week, we ask folk to settle down with a 3 hour
schedule, and code the best game that they can.

Repeat : Until GameOver

     ; Splat 2000 (Jayenkai)
I decided to remake my WW entry as a larger game,
this week, so here it is, with added music, sounds,
          and even a highscore table.
     socoder.net/?showcase=18671

     Here's some we made earlier.
     This week's theme.. Snake!!

     ; Space Snake (JL235)
This is another Wednesday Workshop entry that had
since been rebuilt. A neat little game, which sees
you playing     snake in a 360 degree environment.
          Avoid the earth!!
     socoder.net/?showcase=5792

     ; SnakeSlider (BdR)
A simple puzzle game with snakes attached. Grab
either end of the snakes, and pull, to drag the
snake in that direction. Get the Green snake out of
the exit to beat each level.

Goto Links

     ; More Company Closure (Jayenkai)
          Factor 5 are gone, too.
Well, as it turns out, only half of the company's
actually closed, with the german half still going
about it's business. Either way, it's another great
dev-team going down the pan. This economy sucks!
     socoder.net/?link=18708

     ; Eurovision 2009 (Spare)
If you're interested in that kind of thing, you can
watch Eurovision live, or even relive it afterwards
          straight from their own website.
          Oh yeah!!!
     socoder.net/?link=18705

     ; Saunich der Hejhaug (Jayenkai)
Sonic does his best to stop the evil in his world.
     socoder.net/?link=18665

     ; 80s Box Art (Jayenkai)
From the days when skateboarding ninjas wasn't
considered to be even slightly odd..
     socoder.net/?link=18640

Data

     ; MidletPascal Tutorials (Jayenkai)
Having gotten to grips with MidletPascal, I've
continued to write a bunch of tutorials. So far,
they're all based on my LGCookie phone, but you can
easily tweak them to suit whichever phone you
          current own.

Thanks again, to Pio, for having pointed me in it's
direction. It's a great language, so long as you
can deal with it crashing every 20 mins!

Don't forget to send your ideas for next week's issue.
You can either email them straight to me,
     Jayenkai@Gmail.com
or post things on the website. Because at the end of
the day, that's what this thing's all about!
     Hop to it!
