There's a lot of difference between normal broadband (DSL, Cable etc) and a fibre(-ish) connection. It might be alright with 30 users... but what happens when you have 300 users? It's like peeing on a bushfire to put it out... there's not enough to go arou*snip*

Our school and a few others around near us use GetBusi, a form of Squid.
I believe it's best not to bother blocking sites. If a student chooses to go to a site, let them suffer. It's not the school's responsibility to bring up the kids so sheltered they d*snip*

I solved that problem by getting all my old floppy disks and creating images of all of them, and then burning them to CD.
