It'll be interesting to see exactly what these ARM systems are capable of.
Are you still tempted to get a new laptop right now, or are you holding off to see what these can "really" do?

When Apple switched to Arm, it was a MASSIVE increase in capabilities, but on Mac you never exactly had super-awesome gfx cards to do most of the work.
On Windows, it's a fairly different beast. Would an Arm system be ready for "proper" gaming?

I expect a lot of the utilities should be ready to go, though. A ton of third party devs have already got used to Arm on Mac, so porting things back to Windows Arm shouldn't be "too" hard.
Games, though..
And, quite what the gaming prowess of these new systems will be, and how easily upgradable in the future.

We're gonna need a lot of benchmarks!

Been looking at a few, this morning, and they all seem to have the exact same "You bought a Laptop. You don't need a proper full-sized keyboard, silly!!" mentality.
The person who invented the half-sized cursors deserves everything that comes to them when they inevitably end up in hell for eternity.

A lot of "batteries last for days", and "runs your browser REALLY well!!" sort of things, right now. Gonna have to wait for gaming stuff, I reckon.

"But Jay," I hear you ask, "aren't you a MacBook user who already has a keyboard like that?"
Why yes, I am..
And let me tell you .. It's frustrating as all hell, especially when doing coding when you need to go up a line, and accidentally tap up and down simultaneously, and end up in a really odd part of your code where you didn't expect to end up.
And don't get me started on not having a sodding numpad, either.
RAWR!

Drivers for hardware, games and apps will only work if they're designed for a Windows 11 Arm-based PC. For more info, check with the hardware manufacturer or the organization that developed the driver. Drivers are software programs that communicate with hardware devices—they're commonly used for antivirus and antimalware software, printing or PDF software, assistive technologies, CD and DVD utilities, and virtualization software.
If a driver doesn’t work, the app or hardware that relies on it won’t work either (at least not fully). Peripherals and devices only work if the drivers they depend on are built into Windows 11, or if the hardware developer has released Arm64 drivers for the device.

Certain games won’t work. Games and apps may not work if they use a version of OpenGL greater than 3.3, or if they rely on "anti-cheat" drivers that haven't been made for Windows 11 Arm-based PCs. Check with your game publisher to see if a game will work.

Apps that customize the Windows experience might have problems. This includes some input method editors (IMEs), assistive technologies, and cloud storage apps. The organization that develops the app determines whether their app will work on a Windows 11 Arm-based PC.

Some third-party antivirus software can’t be installed. You won't be able to install some third-party antivirus software on a Windows 11 Arm-based PC—unless it’s been made or updated for an Arm-based PC. However, Windows Security will help keep you safe for the supported lifetime of your Windows 11 device.

Windows Fax and Scan isn’t available. This feature isn’t available on a Windows 11 Arm-based PC.

Yeah we’ll be getting a normal laptop now, especially since this “new” I’ll see how it pans out.

Aye, sounds like a good idea
