TheMopenators' first adventure!

Hey! It's the mopenators' first adventure in blitz! Any suggestions on how to improve the game would be greatly appreciated (remember, this is only the first blitz game i have ever finisjed!).

Nice start! Some suggestions to improve:
-It flickers - use Flip().
-If you loose, and start again, your score stays at that of the levels you've done, so you can finish the levels instantly.
-The last level is white - is that supposed to happen?

Yes, it is meant to happen. I couldn't be bothered to spend more than five minutes on paint. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll take them into account. Anyone elses would also be appreciated.

I have a similar game but with text.
Its called Text Wars. Or will be...

I'm writing it in Pure Basic.

one thing about the game....
actually not the game. But the menu or help screen.
Is there a way to make it static rather than dynamic
So as not for it to flicker.
Or hmmmmmmmm.......make it dynamic but only
place or put up some gold nuggets twinkling and Gold Hunter
moving across the screen to collect the nuggets.

The only problems are:
When you restart, you finish each level instantly. You just need to clear variables when you restart.

You've spelt gold gol on the title screen

And, you can go a long way of the screen, and so do the rocks.

Very nice, better then my first game. Two problems, sometimes it flickers, but barely so I'm wondering if it's just me. Are you drawing to the front buffer? But then I would expect more problems.

Second is a real problem. First time I died on the first level, then on the third, and then I found I didn't have to pick up all the gold to finish a level. On two I only had to pick up one, on another I only had to get 2.

I presume variables aren't being cleared. But if you have a type for the Gold, then you could have it finish the level when the type list is empty. Something like:

Thanks for the suggestion diablos, i might incorporate it. However, i already have fixed the small problem with the points staying the same on levels 2 and up when you die, i messed the variable names up! About the flickering, it would appear that the refresh rate on my computer is slightly faster than other computers so i don't have flickering on my computer.

I will at somepoint be in the process of updating the download link...
