AMD 8 core laptop cpu's

I just watched the amd stream at ces 2020. They showed their new laptop cpu's. The high performance version is up to 8 cores and 16 threads. They mentioned it is faster than a desktop i7 9700K cpu.

I was waiting for a laptop upgrade and I think this is really a worthy upgrade if the price is not through the roof. They showed a price starting at 800$ for a 4800h laptop. If a reasonable specced laptop gets available in the next 3 months I probably wil get one.

I do like that all the chips are boosting like that, but,,
.. I think I'm more interested in battery life than "POWARRRR" nowadays.
It's not as if I'm running a VR setup from my laptop.
Optimise for battery life, and I'll be happy.

I stay close to the power sockets. Gaming laptops get empty in less than 2 hours. I do wish fast charging was more available for things like tablets and laptops.

I am looking forward to trying out minecraft on a 8 core and monkey and b3d with the desktop speeds
