Boris said the world might come to an end. I'm not sure what to think about this.

Boris says a lot of things. He usually paints things on buses. They rarely ever come true.

@Pakz

The planet is not going to end any time soon, no matter what we do to it.

Higher forms of life (including humans) may day out, but the planet will not die. The planet will recover, like it has done many, many times since the dawn of time.

That doesn't mean we should stop trying to reduce the damage we are doing, but global warming isn't completely down to humans - the world has warmed and cooled thousands of times. Historical data proves this. Lifeforms have always come and gone, evolved or became extinct - this is the natural flow. This has always been the case and will always be the case.

Humans may not be around in the future, but other forms of life will be and so will the planet.

Besides, if Boris said it you know it's a lie.

The way I see it, if its our fault or not and the consequence is probably that life will become very uncomfortable for humans in the future and we have the ability to do something about it, then we probably should. Doesn't matter if we caused it or not. However all the world thinks about is oil prices.

I generally do not comment on politics in other countries, as I do not live there or fully understand things in other countries and it is simply not my place.

However, Boris is an American, and I can comment on him as a person. He strikes me as a genuinely decent human being, not something I can say about most politicians in my country. However, Boris does seem to be in over his head (something I can say about most politicians in my country).

California is literally holding the rest of my country hostage right now over their extreme environmental regulations, which now means it takes twice as many trucks, drivers and lumpers to handle cargo from ships unloaded in California.

I've heard that come up a few times in recent weeks.
Whether someone is or isn't American doesn't automagically make them not a complete and utter twat.

Here he is, sitting next to 95 year old national treasure, David Attenborough, at the climate conference, half asleep, without a mask.
The ignorant, selfish twat.

I knew who David Attenborough was long before the Internet came along. He used to be on PBS a lot back in the day.

I can understand that some people do not want to wear a mask, but if you are around elderly or other vulnerable people, you really should wear one.
