Aww, that's a shame.

If you still want your comedy panel news fun, there's of course Have I Got News For You, but also Radio Four has News Quiz, and Radio Scotland have Breaking the News.
Radio Four also has Dead Ringers, but with all the politicians coming and going lately, its been hard for them to keep up their usual quality of impressions!!

Is there really a need for it anymore? The real news if far more bizarre and hilarious than any of the parody news shows could ever be.

Yes, there is a need.
Because watching the real news is depressing as fuck!!!
Don't go down that well.

I'm with you Jay - I'd rather see other people take the piss out of the poticians et al than see them do it for themselves.

As for the radio - I only listen to that in the car. I couldn't just listen to the radio at home - too many distractions or I'd just fall asleep.

I used to love HIGNFY too, but they paused that for a while and then had guest presenters. Which are always a very mixed bag, so I stopped watching.

Not sure I have watched any news since the "news" on the show my little brother watched years back...

Here in America our daily news and politics is like one of the bad National Lampoon movies...

I've heard about American News channels - they don't let the truth get in the way of a good story...

Media is all the same though - they all put their own spin on things and make them look/sound the way THEY want them to. The BBC is becoming increasingly poor at looking at both sides of arguments. The world over has turned woke too.

@rockford "Never let facts get in the way of a good story" is definitely the first rule of journalism over here.

BBC's "Always consider both sides" is kinda getting dumber by the day. It makes a lot of sense in the grand scheme of things, but when you're doing something like "Is drinking bleach good for you?" having two sides to the argument is ... bad!!!

I do wish they'd make it "..when sensible" instead of "always try"

If it is not, they need to take it out of the drinking water.

Also use bleach to purify the water in your cistern if you collect rain water as your water source and also dump it in a well once a year or so to purify that.
