Windows Paint PNG settings?

Does anybody have a clue how to replicate the settings Windows Paint uses for PNGs?

I have thousands of WMF files I need to convert to PNGs and any of the batch converters create huge PNG files no matter the settings I use, where Windows Paint creates very compact PNG files. Just load one in Paint, resave it and it is a compact PNG file. But it is a pain in the ass converting so many by hand.

Presuming Windows Paint is still as limited as it is, it's probably a difference between 32-bit png and indexed png.
As in, each pixel has R,G,B,A values, verses a small colour index at the start of the file, and 0-255 indexes for each pixel.

For all image converting on Windows I still tend to use Irfanview.
Open it up, hit B, options be there.

Paint.NET is way more superior to MS Paint.

Will give Irfanview a try, used to use it way back in the day.

Thank you Jay! Just a test with the default setting of 6 and it converted PNG into something nice and compact. Will try it with the better quality, too, but this is perfect.

Still cant batch convert all of them at once due to so many nested directories, but it will let me do a directory at a time which will be a huge time saver. Thanks, bro!

Ifranview gets praise too, for not only being 64-bit but also being DPI aware.
