Media Player Suggestions?


I need some suggestions for a media player for Windows. It needs to:

1. Be Free and no ads
2. Support .TS files
3. Support H.265
4. Be DPI aware
5. Be as compact as possible

I have been using Media Player Lite, but it does not support H.265. Otherwise it has been fabulous and isn't a bloated piece of crap.

 		Can VLC do all that? VLC's my emergency player on Mac.. MacOS tends to be able to play a ton of stuff itself.

 		Yeah, VLC is great, I use that and Winamp Classic, just with a bunch of plug-ins for retro game music, etc mainly.

MediaPlayer Lite has been fantastic, but it has not been updated in many years. VLC is kept updated. Woohoo!

 		After the development of the Mpc-HC has been stopped, i switched to Mpc-Be. (which is, technically, Mpc-Hc)

You can activate seek preview, which is a bonus !

 		Windows Media Player in Windows 10 is actually pretty good, but will not handle .TS files.
