Great that we (humans) are attempting moon landings again...

But 50 years since the last one? What an indictment of leaving the space program in the hands of wealthy space tourists.

The publicly funded space race did so much for software engineering (i.e. founded the field as an actual discipline!!!).

It's a tragedy that we've stagnated for half a century.

Space travel, computerised economic planning., now "AI"...

Which in its current state I have contempt for, and I'm sure has vastly more potential than its only (admittedly valuable) purpose of generating pictures of cats. But instead companies are trying to sell AI-enchanced vacuum cleaners???
