Just had a scare from a contract from a door salesperson my mum dealt with. Turned out ok. Last time there were a fine caused by a contract breach.

People with Alzheimer and memory problems can potentially be taken advantage of. Then blamed themself for being gullible.
(Sigh)

There is a 14 day opt out on any contract. So that is luckily always an option. Those telephone companies are extreme with their contracts and fines too. That is why I never had a mobile phone contract.

When dial in Internet was stil a thing, it was easy to just be surprised by a phone bill in the hundreds of dollars.

Yeah. All's well now.

There was a problem a while ago with a new energy contract that had caused a big fine if that was not canceled. Kind of cautious and on alert still.
