So, you're starting coding, eh? What languages are you using/planning to use?
Most people here are quite good at BlitzBasic, but we're all spreading out to different areas, eg HoboBen's learning Cobra, I'm learning C++ (specifically Nintendo DS development) and DiablosDevil is learning Ruby.
I'm sure if you have any questions, someone here will have a vague idea of the answer

 		Ruby on Rails is meant to be very good for websites, and Ruby is on the up. Sun not too long ago hired the JRuby team who's current goal is 'to have Ruby on Rails running on the Java VM without any changes needed'. Ruby is also more popular then Python in Japan.
