Medieval soldiers sheet

I have started trying to do different poses with these set of footmen/pikemen. I want to start experimenting with animation when I get a nice looking detailed style.

At the moment I am not really happy with the shine of the sprites. I am going to try fix this with a future sheet, maybe I can try a darker base color? Also I am seeing a number of problems. I noticed for instance one of the footman had his but in his front. Though I got 10 likes on twitter with this image.

When I get a number of footsoldiers done I plan to learn how to do 'good' looking portraits. Might as well work my way to getting usable graphics for a rpg/roguelike. Not sure what resolution they wil be.

Cool!

The black and white monochrome stick figures kinda remind me of cave paintings..

Would be fun to be able to play a game on some kind of animated rock!
