My network's being a git, today. Trying to move a 256Mb file to the NAS drive, and it's going shittily slow, and is now completely stalled with the Windows File-Progress thing showing a 0kbs speed. .. Even though I'm able to post this through the same network.. Hmmm...

And a Windows update, and Lenovo's bloody spyware "Smart Voice" reinstalling itself, and the Virgin Hub needing a stupid secondary numerical passcode to access it so that the browser doesn't fucking remember the code and you have to grab your ipad every damn time just to remember the feckin' number.. VERY ROARY START TO MY DAY!!

I ah had a similar problem once! I ended up writing a simple C program to copy files with a bigger buffer. Higher latency, but it moves quicker!
