Bonjour! ; - p

Are there any plans for a "quote" button?

And how is your chat/MUD thingie going? I'm asking my Uncle to buy me a book on AJAX for christmas.

An AJAX book? Use Google, already!

A quote button would first require a nice way to show quotes. Any thoughts on that? Or would it just be plain simple "In a box" things? They're kinda dull, though.

The MUD/Chat thing is progressing slowly, mostly because I'm not sure whether to store the thing in the same SQL database, or to start anew.
If I start anew, then I've got to check for accounts and stuff.
If I kept it "On the website, only" then that'd be easy to do, but if I made a DS compatible version (so I can play at work!) Then the accounts would probably all mess up.

I'm probably just over thinking it!

Searching Google resulted in mostly crap, and I've always preffered having the book of something. I can't Google from bed.

It's okay now, isn't it? Unless you want quoted quotes, which can get a bit silly.

Maybe just stick two huge (image?) quotation marks around the text, and itallicise it. You may not even need the decorative quotation marks at all (I think that they look cool though). Nothing fancy, just the part that grabs the users text and sticks it in the quote box for me. In some forums, that is done with JavaScript, rather than anything PHP based. It'll just save me having to go around highlighting and copy pasting wheras a button could do it for me.

I dunno... like..

" Hello " - HoboBen.

And...

...

Maybe indent quotes, so that nested ones stand out.
