Till #2 (at the shop where I work) seemed to have completely overheated a couple of days ago, to the point of switching itself off.
That's a few days of sun, for you!!!

Still, it seemed fine, but additionaly crashed a couple of times..
What to do?
Call on Mr Warranty guy!

Mr Warranty guy comes along, today, and replaces the PSU.

Now it lasts about 2 minutes before it crashes..
Nngh...

So, Question of the day..
Have you ever installed something (hardware/software/otherwise) that's supposed to make things better, but has instead, annoyingly, made things much much worse!

All i can think of mysief, is a couple of days ago in an attempt to get my ipod to stay connected to my laptop (it keeps dissconnecting at random) i downloaded a patch from microsoft. This patch apparently gets windows to retry rather than dissconnect on big communication errors. Guess what, it now seems that the damn think dissconnects more often than it did before

- However the problem now seems to be the usb port(s) rather than a software thing, although it might be an ipod thing...

Well get this. I recently acquired my fathers 4 year old kickass computer that he custom built him self. ANTEC case/power MSI M8N Neo Platinum motherboard 512mb ram (I fount a 1gb chip laying around his house that works in it, so its really 1.5gb) Geforce 5700 LE 256mb AGP graphics card, 5 HD's setup on a raid, with 2 IDE raid cards in it as well. Thats about all I can remember about it. Pretty friggin sweet machine. At any rate I saw there was an upgrade for the bios and I upgraded it, and now windows wont load. I reformat and it works until I try to install the drivers for the mother board (IDE RAID, SMB BUS and some other things), then it acts up again and windows wont load. So now I have to purchase a $45 Willem eprom programmer to downgrade the bios back to what it was before. I have tried loading up with a floppy or win 98 boot cd but the bios flashing tool says that my bios is write protected. And I dont see an option in the bios to turn off write protect. And I cant find any jumpers on the mother board that would do it either....oh well. I will have the money to fix it soon.

Yes, it was called Linux.

|edit| Dispite the huge number of problems I have had, this is meant as a joke. |edit|
