I've decided to open up the interal 'DevTeam' forum to anyone who is interested and willing to help test/develop BlitzMax.

To join, you should have purchased BlitzMax and be willing to try out potentially dodgy release candidates.

Please DO NOT join if you're not completely happy with trying out experimental software! In particular, don't expect anything released in DevTeam to be up to building 'release quality' projects - that's for 'real' releases.

I don't think he's making it open source by doing this, nor does he mention anything about the source code. Far as I'm concerned, this is just to get more people testing, providing feedback on future releases, and possibly contributing to module development.

You can run Linux on the PS3, so there is no reason why you couldn't port BMax to it.

That's incredible. I wrote years ago that he might do something like this to keep business flowing and interest in his product alive.

Everyone else is.

Open source I would not recommend at all. Especially since BMax is his main source of income.

Why not a Dev Team for B3D? He's done with that but let others make it good. Non open source there as well.

I'm with Cower on this, from the looks of it he's just looking for testers and at most people who can help with modules. Nothing more, and it's actually quite a non-story.
