Socoder -> Question of the Day -> QOTD - What should I buy for my dad?

I have one day left to get a present for my dad. I've already got him a wallet, but it's small and isn't much on it's own. So what else should I buy him tomorrow? Feel free to be creative.

This is excluding: alcohol, dvds and games.

Put some moneys in as surprize, so that way he will buy whatever he want

I got my dad something called a 3rd eye. Its basically a flashlight you can wear as a hat of sorts. He sometimes goes underneath houses and stuff, so I'm thinking it will help him some - I don't know if your dad does anything like that though.

Perhaps some chocolates or fine cheeses?

How about a biker chain for the wallet? or a pocket watch?

Hotshot had a good idea, but maybe instead of money put in a giftcard to his favorite store - it's more thoughtful I think.

Give him some sort of a puzzle, such as a sudoku machine or a Rubik's Cube.

I'm usually against giving away money or gift cards. Gifts are supposed to be chosen by the giver, not the receiver.

I think I'll write my dad a flash game...
Wait, it's already Christmas Eve?!

Time to go get "Sams Make a Flash Game in 24 hours"

That'll take you 24 hours to read, then you'll have no time left!!!

Uhm...

I was working on a sidescroller a few days ago, then my computer rebooted and lost all my work...

And I'm too lazy to redo it

In the end I bought him the recent Star Trek film on DVD (so much for no DVDs). However so did my brother. So I'm taking it back and swapping it for something else tomorrowz.

Darn, you thought you solved it, but now Christmas is over and you've still got to figure out what to get him.

In the end it swapped for The Departed. Awesome film, but the DVD in HMV was waaaaay over priced.

Well, hope that gift worked for you. My wife didn't like the movie... I thought it was somewhat interesting. Especially in the fact that... oh wait that's a spoiler.
