I'm currently building a project with my brother and I insist that we use subversion (or something similar). However I don't want to run a server 24 hours a day and I don't think my brother has a spare PC in his house.

So are there any good free project hosting sites for private projects? It must be private as it's for a website and so we don't plan to make it open source.

If you grab a decent FTP client, then anything with FTP abilities becomes a decent backup station. To be honest, I've never used SVN, so.. *shrugs*

I use ProjectLocker - seems to work fine, albeit a bit lax on space. Good for small stuff.

I remember someone recommending www.assembla.com/ to me. Don't think I've tried it yet.
