I've missed half the damn year, and it's already time to be thinking about what gifts to buy the family.
No quick automatic "Buy Mum a new Billy Connolly DVD", this year, as he doesn't appear to be releasing anything new. Bugger!
Already bought my sister a laptop last year, so she can piss off if she thinks she's getting anything like that, this year.
Hmmm... What to buy for Xmas?
Any thoughts?

And, no, mum wouldn't appreciate a Raspberry Pi! Not even the kickass Maplin pack!

Uncle Dave, the reformed alcoholic, now T-Total, probably wouldn't appreciate that!
As for perfume, I refuse to accept that a shitty little bottle of smelly stuff is a GREAT gift. Kinda sucks! Gifts must be awesome, or I ain't spending that much!

Your uncle is T-Total? How quaint!
How 'bout one of these then?

It is a Browning BLR (with scope), perfect for hunting moose! I remember you saying that Little Lever isn't bear territory
Where does your uncle live?!

If your uncle lives in the city, you could always just give him a pass to Old Trafford or Etihad for a year...

@Afr0, perhaps you should send that rifle to Jay?

@Jay, get her Downton Abbey DVD, like the first few series. Old people love Downton Abbey.

Dear god, no!! It's bad enough having a machete in the house!

Downtown Abbey would be a better gift for my sister, actually. She loves the thing. *shrugs*

Btw, I got to thinking, if your mum doesn't already have a WoW-account, buying her one now is really cheap! Combined with MoP it's a great gift!
If not, you could always just get her a new pan!!
If your uncle isn't the hunting type, you could give him a kit - DIYs are always very popular gifts for men!

You could get your mother the Shadow Line on DVD (it was a BBC series from earlier in the year, or last).

Was a brilliant show, so if she doesn't like it, you can watch it yourself!

Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a great film, starring a host of older aged actors and actresses that we all know and love.
