Socoder -> Wednesday Workshop -> #084 - The Four Object Challenge

Wednesday Workshop #084 : The Four Object Challenge
Time until Deadline

Week : 24 January 2007
The Reason : A recreation of a classic! Right at the start, we had the Five Object Challenge. This time it's a little harder..

The Challenge : Using only Blitz's internal 2D drawing commands (Plot, Line, Rect, Oval, Text) to draw, you must create a game which only ever draws 4 objects onscreen per frame.

Extra Info
You may not use CopyRect, or otherwise, to replicate more objects.
A single Object = 1 single drawing command.
If you use Text, you can have as many characters in that line of text as you wish.
Feel free to look back at Week 1 for some ideas.. But no blatent copying!

Weekly Rules/How to Enter
You have until Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning 00:00 BST to submit your levels. ^ See Deadline Link! ^

Wed.Workshop is at SoCoder.co.nr. If you can read this, you're probably already there!

Stick your entry underneith this post, leaving a link to your exe or the source of your game, or whatever. (I'll get round to allowing uploads sometime, honest!)

If you can't figure it out, or have a really rubbish server, send it to Jayenkai@Gmail.com and I'll stick it straight onto the SoCoder (Official Wed.Workshop) site.

Entries will be collected during the week, and entered into next week's voting. (If there are any entries..)
All entries will be entered into voting which will take place if there's more than one entry..

Please try to keep all entries within small file sizes. 2Mb is the average maximum for files.
Additional Rules are available at the SoCoder (Official Wed.Workshop) site, under the list of previous workshops.

Quicky game.

Bucket Full of Numbers

Catch the numbers in the bucket.
Use 1->0 to position the bucket. The higher the number you catch, the more points you get.
50 numbers to catch.

Very nice, and very hard. But you should make the low numbers go slow and the large numbers go fast.

No time for that, here's another one!!

Super Roadster

Cursors left and right to turn. Keep the roadster on the road!

i was a bit confused by you turning in so many entrys jay, because i thought it was still the school yard challenge, what confused me the most was tat i couldnt tell how any of your entrys had anything to do with a school yard activity....... but now that im no longer confused, i present to you a simple avoid the objects game.

Magicman's game is my favourite, my best score was 3913. 22 points in Hobo's game, and 75 on Rolly Polly Bally, that was a really nice game too. Serverman's game was a little too hard for me. Lots of games this week, and Jayenkai entered four entries

Magicman, I liked your game... but including the text for the score, I counted 5 objects.

Yes, it is..
Text can be any number of chrs, but each use of "Text" counts as 1 object.

I played magicman's game again and got a much better score this time (link). I think you should make it harder the longer you survive.

Hmm.. I forgot to post a "2 hours left" post, this week..

No matter..

Workshop over, time to head over to a less colourful challenge, and don't forget to vote for this week's entries.
