Does anyone know of any nose cancelling headphone adapters? Something to plug between headphones and audio source that would do the exact same job as nose cancelling headphones, but, without the headphones?

Nothing springs to mind.. Wonder how easy it'd be to do via software..?

should be simple, take input from a mic, invert it, output through speaker.
I can't understand why, when noise cancelling earphones are under £5, there doesn't seem to be an adapter available to turn any headphones into noise cancelling ones. It wouldn't even need to be stereo, as it only really works well with drones and humms, a mono input would work I should think.

you have a good idea there spinal.

Putting a microphone inside each headphone earpiece and then routing that to some software would produce the same effect as a manufactured pair.

I was thinking more about using a single mic in the device and routing it through the software to both ears.

You mean write something to add noise reduction to mp3 playing... I can't even detect touch locations correctly atm...

Yeah, but the microphone doesn't rotate, so it should be easy!
