Cower	I don't know why you or anyone else pays attention to the WBC. They're all insane and stupid, and apparently almost as stupid as Slayer fans. I say almost because the WBC is a family of lawyers itching for a chance to sue someone, while Slayer fans mutilate themselves. Seems clear to me that the WBC are predatory assholes, but not anywhere near as stupid as these Slayer fans.

steve_ancell	We've even had slogans on posters and even the side of busses, from Church of Crist the King (CCK) with the message: "Some people are gay, there is a cure, get over it!", which is a direct ripoff of Stonewall's slogan: "Some people are gay, get over it!". You cannot cure being gay, it is a genetical thing that is in the person from birth, church extremists with their control-freak ways are the ones in need of a cure. I was born in Brighton and have lived here since birth, I am surrounded by gay people every time I go out into the open and it does not bother me in any way. I used to go to the same church as the one I mentioned above, they were known as Clarendon Church back then, but then left when I started to feel like I was being controlled, I don't like being controlled.

I do understand why people in the US pay attention to their Twitter account though (yes, they have one!) If I lived in the US, I would be glad to have the opportunity to know if anyone in my family would risk having their funeral picketed by these freaks. while Slayer fans mutilate themselves. Not really sure if the mutilation thing is a common practice - I don't mutilate myself! But the images were pretty wonderfully picked to convey the idea that you don't mess with Slayer fans! Honestly, if I lived in California (which is most likely where Jeff's funeral will be), I wouldn't hesitate to show up in a suit twitching a bat. In all honesty, for Jeff's family's sake, I hope that the WBC won't show up. ... on the other hand, I can't deny the fact that it would be immensely satisfying if the WBC got what they've had coming for a long, long, long time. And trying to picket the funeral of Jeff Hanneman would be a surefire way to make that happen! If your parents are religious, then it's likely you are too, but there are also genes which make you more susceptible to spirituality. So chances are, homosexuality is not all based on genetics. It'll probably be based on a wide mix of factors. For example men with an older brother, are 33% more likely to be gay.

steve_ancell	@DD I'm pretty sure that there was something on the TV about a gay gene but what you stated probably does play a part in bringing it out. Which ever way it happens though, WBC still has no right throwing hateful comments at the gay community. My father is quite homophobic but I never became homophobic myself, despite being as straight as straight can be.

Do you think they're utterly incapable of processing something in this thread (despite them watching plenty of violent movies, and playing plenty of violent games with more moral grey areas than a pop star)? Kids don't need protection from this, they need protection from over-protective people like you.
