Socoder -> Music -> Retro Music Collection (facebook file)

I have been listening for a while to a folder of music that I found on a retro gaming facebook group. Today I got a new internet connection and uploaded the zip of the music to my site to test the speed. (20/20) It took only 10 minutes or so to upload the 1gb file.

I anyone wants to have the music to listen to then here is the link. It has a lot of amiga demo/game music in it.

I found that using vlc the chip music does not end and needs manual skip. I have used xm player lately and it seems to play a lot of music and needs no further work.

Here the link:

edit: I took down the file since I noticed a lot of remix files were in the file. Top 40 from the ninetees and such. I don't think it is allowed online I probably will someday modify the file to only contain the game/demo music.

Yeah, mods are very hard to judge, when they loop so well. They're usually designed to keep playing forever, so software-judging the end of a mod is difficult for software.

I have the complete Aminet archive on my NAS drive (Aminet FTP via here) and it's served me well whenever I'm bored.
I also have the iOS app "modizer" for when I feel like playing them there, too.

How did you unpack the files from the aminet archive?

I just tried to download the mods folder and they were all compressed files. Can you unzip the entire folder and underlying folder with 7zip or do you need to do a lot of things to unpack everything?

Aminet files are usually .lzh or similar, winrar usually manages it ok from what I remember.

Surprised that 7zip doesn't do them. ...huh!
But, yeah, Winrar will.

I downloaded a folder and they were lha files. I selected all the compressed files and could unzip them all in one go using 7zip.

I think if I have downloaded all the folders that if I do a file search for *.lha in the file explorer I can unpack everything using right mouse menu options from 7zip.
