Not surprising, really. The site was absolutely rampant with sprite-rips and shitty knock-off games.

I a little funny to see all the comments about Nintendo not caring about their fans, when really it's entirely down to the 'fans' not knowing/caring what they can and can't do. Namely ripping sprites & trademarked characters from commercial games.

Example, re-colouring ripped graphics doesn't save you from the fact that they're ripped graphics. see 3:00.

However, I bet you wouldn't be too sore about it if Nintendo came to you and said, "Remove your games, they use our sprites/trademarks".

Not at all..
If someone asks, (and has a legitimate proof of ID!!), then I'd whip the stuff down in an instant.

No biggy for me, really. I can afford to lose 60-odd games before I drop below 300

*finishes reading through list of removed games*

OK, none are mine! Carry on!!!

I just feel sorry for the poor bugger that had to add (and check) all those links in that email!

lol, you would think, but when they took it down from the Play store, they stated it was because of the style (Vector graphics) and it had the word "Asteroid" in the title... Thus, apparently ripping the arse off their IP...

Apparently! :/

Havent a clue how they came to that conclusion mind, because the gameplay is completely different, but they did.

Atari are now just bullies really, well, everytime I see the word "Atari" or their logo, I automatically just think "Wankers!"... Shame, because they have tainted fond memories I had of using their systems and playing their games back in the day.

To be fair, they weren't "their" consoles and games..
