Fasted from Sunday afternoon until this morning. Just over 65 hours. Longest fast I've ever done and beat my previous record by 15 hours. The plan is to do a 72 hour once a week and do 24-hour fasts in between. Officially lost a stone since I started (Some of which is water weight) but I'm really happy with the progress I'm making.

Broke the fast with a Beef Consomme (Sort of like a beef broth thing, full of collagen and protein) and it was absolutely delicious after not eating for almost three days. I really feel like I'm in control of what I decide to eat now, and I feel absolutely fantastic. Going to have some skinless chicken thighs and tinned plum tomatoes for tea tonight, and maybe some beef jerky as a snack to bump up the calories.

Starting weight, 265lb Current weight 251lb Goal Weight 150/160lb

Fasting is something that I wouldn't do. I can totally understand the reasoning for it, but my weight is definitely not down to the amount I'm eating. I don't eat a breakfast. Rarely eat a dinner. Then eat a fairly barebones tea and a large supper.
My eating regime is all backwards, but it's definitely not my weight problem.
My weight, my cholesterol, my high heart rate.. they're all coupled together at the "lack of exercise" joint.

That's what I have to fix. But with even minor movements causing great amounts of motion sickness, that's been something I've struggled with for almost 9 years, now.

Fitness levels are at their lowest.
If I could code a fix, I sure as hell would!

Yeah, it's definitely not for everyone! I'm doing it as a kind of last-ditch effort to lose weight. Just struggle with other forms of diets. This is the first thing that I can genuinely say I enjoy doing. Keeps me mindful of what I'm eating, and it gives me back control of my cravings.

Maybe couple it with a detox tea, or something, too. Since you'll be emptying out, might as well flush out the leftovers, too!

So.. How's the fitness stuff going, everyone?

I'm still at the same weight I was at the start of the year, though it bumps up and down daily, depending on how well I've stuffed myself!

Heartrate checks are generally at the high 80's, but occasionally drop below 70 and over 100, seemingly at random. The ECG on my new watch is showing nice and steady pulse, though, so at least my heart isn't freaking out completely.

Blood Sugar levels are chaotic, right now. They upped my dosage of Diabetes tablets, and the spikes have been insane, hitting over 160, a week or so ago. Crazy numbers.. It seems to have settled back down, over the past few days, though. 9, 5 and 6 are my recent stats.

Blood Pressure is hovering around where it should be (120/80's), but with the usual spikes and pits wherever it thinks it can freak me out.
I HAVE noticed a pattern whereby the less of a good night's sleep I have, the lower my Blood Pressure is in the morning.. Not sure why that is!!

The important stats, however, are the steps and pedals. They're still low. .. Too low. I really need to fix those numbers, and they're entirely down to me.

Slow and steady, Jay. One step or pedal a day is better than no pedal!

Took your advice of the detox tea. Flushes me out, well, very well! LOL. Still trying to work out how much fat weight I've actually lost due to how much water weight I lost. The weigh-in for this morning was 17 stones and 3 pounds. That's a 24-pound decrease from my pre-Xmas weigh-in, and 21 pounds lost since Jan 1st. Drinking loads of water, keeping well to the keto (not had bread, potato or crisps since New Year's Eve) and I'm out walking more, currently, around 6000 steps a day which is better than nothing, I guess. My goal weight is 150 pounds, so I'm 24/115 of the way there!

The tricky bit will be the maintenance stage after I've lost all this weight. I plan to start weight training, picking up on the cardio (running did my knees in at 265lb) and careful eating, which includes eating less crap.

Upped the benching to 33kg recently, now down with the coof.

I've been taking vitamin C,D and Zinc suppliments for a lil while prior in an effort to reduce it's effectiveness against me. So, my fitness goals are on hold for the moment sadly.

It's weird lacking taste and smell to a great degree, tested eating a whole bunch of just marmite and I can just taste saltiness, weird eh? Been a lil sleepy, gonna keep hydrated 'n' stuffs, doesn't seem too bad so far.

Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also!

@jay Maybe you can just train your muscles while sitting down? This by just flexing the muscles. This is also how those electronic trainers work.

I have been doing exercises somewhat similar to those tai bo exercises that Billy Blanks did. And I'm trying to build up my Pull Ups on the Power Tower. I got a slight cramp yesterday after about an hour so took a break and got lost in a late night coding session.
