Well, storm foreskin face is offically here... Git... Had the neighbour on returning my gas box which ended up in their garden, and... The back fence is shaking more then Shakin' Stevens dancing on a coffee table with a leg missing... God knows what I'll wake up too tomorrow out there! :/

The neighbour was out fixing his fence, earlier.. then he went indoors and the storm REALLY kicked off. Not sure it's survived!

I changed the batteries on my brother in-law's mobility scooter this afternoon and got really fucking soaked, quite blowy in my area too.

Just a little light breeze occasionally here so far, but it's supposed to be real shite later with 80mph winds and heavy rain.

So, not me when I visit the curry house then, strange!

How bad is this storm meant to be then? Just heard the word that the schools in the south west are closing for tomorrow. (just a day early but, yeah, weird)

@Jay - I almost posted that you might have poted in the wrong topic, but your "puff" added credence to it being in the right place for a follow on joke!

Well, just tidied up out there, went to work this morning, smashed ridge tiles next to back gate and into back yard... Had a look, about a dozen of them from front hip of the house... Fooksakes!!!

Saving grace is, nothing got hit like me car on the drive, or the neighbours either, it was proper booming mind, in bed I just laid there, there would be a bit of quiet inbetween a steady wind, then BOOM, a big gust, rattling the living out of the house... Suffice to say, I had a bit of a restless night!

So, got in the car, phoned a mate who works for MKM builders merchant, well, it's a mates brother, but I see more of him then me marra, anyway, got a "F'ing time do you call this Dab, you shit the bed?", I was like no, but the weather has soiled the living f*** out of me house, lol... Anyway, asked him to book me 15 ridge tiles out ASAP before they get rarer then hens teeth, picked them up today, so... Looks like Mr Denathorn here will be on the roof with a few pails of cement over the weekend! Gerrrr innnnnn /sarcasm

So, gas box, back fence needs fixing and ridge tiles so far... Lets see what Eunice brings tomorrow... Way it's going, there will just be me waking up on saturday morning in me bed where the house used to be, thinking "What's happened here?" hehehe <---- If you cannot laugh and all that jazz

The solar panel for our security cam is .. just plain not there.
Thankfully the camera still is, but it's already down to 60%, and I can't see it lasting more than a couple of days.
Going to have to see if I can find a replacement.
Fuxake.

Other than that, though, I don't "think" there's been any more damage.
...yet

Tis but a spring zephyr down here (so far!)

Winds are nowhere near as bad as predicted here and we have fairly clear skies too - the weather forecast lied to us (thankfully!). Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Pretty windy here, already. This page suggests the heavier winds aren't due in Bolton until 2pm.
Eeek!!

I have hopefully strenghtened my mothers fence enough. She had bought some big poles a while ago for building 'gnome homes' and I could use them. A couple of storms ago the fence was almost down and I had put some poles to strenghten it then.

We here are at the code orange level. Up to 120km per hour winds.

Blowing like buggery down here.

Apparently it's only up to 50mph, here in miseryville Bolton. Just a ton of rain and a bit windy, but nothing I would call a "big storm", as of yet.

My neighbour's fence is down. Wind is definitely much stronger now. Still nice blue skies though.

Well, so long as I don't return home to find the roof has gone missing then today will be a success!

Otherwise, there's going to be some interesting aerial photos about the place

Well, it doesnt seem to be as bad up here in the north east, windy, but nowt compared to whats happening down south, and nowt compared to Dudley... So... Looks like, up here at least, we're home free [Watch, this will be one of them "famous last words" fings]

So, busy weekend ahead with repair jobbies... And I really wanted to work inside too... Still... Beggers cannot be choosers as the saying goes!
