Here's one..
If you ask it for lyrics to a song, it'll get partway through, then start making shit up as it goes along.

ChatGPT is asked to make an audio plugin simulating a classic guitar amp.

Can ChatGPT do it?

I had a feeling AI would not be able to recreate it. I have a Tube Screamer, I use and prefer the TS9, and I always use it, it is ALWAYS in my chain if I am using an electric guitar, no matter what other effects or amp I may be using.

I have many, many pedals, some I have in duplicate in case something goes wrong with the pedal and some I have four of because I use several at once with different settings. I only have one TS9, as it is all I need. It is built like a tank and always works and they do NOT break, it will easily outlast me.

Just imagine the future of music creation like this, though.
Getting a "soulless" AI to put together some unique combinations of functionality to create an all new pedal style.
.. but then using your own creativity to build upon it, and use the new functionality to make a whole new sound/genre..

I think music, art and general creativity is going to go through some pretty magical twists and turns over the next few years.
It's like when sampling became viable as a music tool, and everything changed in the 80s.
Or it could be like when Autotune turned everything to shit.

You torture ChatGPT as much as I do. I keep telling it Al Gore is going to eat me. It swears Al Gore has never shown any signs of violence and that he is not going to hurt me.

Some things it will not answer and lectures me:

1. Why does Billy Ray Cyrus always look like he just smelled a fart?
2. Why do ugly people make me sad?

I sometimes tell it I was just joking and being silly. It says it understands and lectures a bit more and even apologized once for its tone when I said it offended me with its sharp reply. Then I ask it how can an AI understand sarcasm?

Silliness aside, it has proven extremely handy. Messing with it has largely worn off, so using it more seriously now.

Better than Siri. That early 80s car alarm voice of Siri's was grating. Hated hearing it when out and about and somebody was using Siri.

Compared to modern music put together by soulless GenZers.

The first time around, I told ChatGPT that aliens had landed and "here's some phrases they used, do you think you could translate them."
ChatGPT stood its ground, complaining that it was an AI, and didn't understand alien languages.

The second time is as above. As you should probably know, a "new conversation" is like a reset button, and the AI retains none of the previous knowledge.
The same few starting phrases were given, but this time it was worded as "I've made this shit up, play along", and the difference was staggering.
Within a couple of requests, it was guessing phrases, coming up with grammar/syntax rules, and more.

Why I did this?
I was thinking of real-world translation, and hypothetical "Universal Translators" style Trek stuff.
With just a few gentle prods, the AI actually gave it a go. I couldn't speak for its accuracy, but damn if it didn't try.

Give it a few years, and .. we might be there.
