I regret to let ya'll know I will be gone for a while. I fount out about 2 hours ago that my father has passed away from a massive heart attack. I am going right now to my mothers house to meet up with my sisters to decide whats going to be done. I will probably take some time off from EVERYTHING as this was a bit of a surprise even tho we knew he was not in good of health. So ya'll keep coding and dont stop doing the great things ya'll do and I will catch up when my heart permits.

Bye!

Well I am sitting here bored with everything on my mind. I thought I would come by and let ya'll know how things are going.

First of all. I am feeling alot better now. Still very sad and upset but after we have had time to all talk as a family and a handful of us go through his stuff at his house and see the memories, that has really helped alot especially doing it as a family.

The service is on Thursday at 11am. We are having a traditional catholic mass for his funeral. The receiving of friends is from 9:45 to 10:45. We are burying him at Conover City Cemetery. We decided to bury him in his dress uniform (Air Force) for his burial. Not that anyone here is attending or anything but still thought you guys would like to just know.

His life insurance policy is still good for at least $6000. We dont know how much as of yet. He still has $1600 in his bank account and a $4000 IRA (retirement investment option). So we have $11,600 to bury him with. After looking at the prices at the funeral home we figure it will cost us $7400 to bury him. So that will leave $4,200 for me to divide up between me and my sisters. Which 3 of us (4 kids all together) will need as we will have missed a weeks worth of work for this.

Ever since we got the bad news Friday we ALL have been over at his house going through everything to see what we would like to keep. Unfortunately for my sisters I am getting alot more than them. But thankfully they understand. I got all of his tools and some of his computer equipment. As well as my fathers day gifts that I made him in my lifetime and his camouflage military uniform (Air Force). I have also got his computer that he custom built him self. Spent $2000 easy on it 4 years ago and never used it. I was going to ask him for it as mine was slowly dieing. But this is not the way I wanted to acquire it, LOL.

I Know you guys probably dont want to hear about all this but its helping me out as I decided today at the church that I am going to say somethings about my father to his Eulogy. I just dont know what to say. I figure I would say something about how he has encouraged me and helped me in my learning and understanding of the world of computers and technology. If it wasnt for him I would not be where I am in my hobby or my line of work. As he was a good chief and a miracle worker on electronics period. Ya know I think I have my Eulogy right here.

If any of ya'll feel like leaving a comment on the funeral homes website the link is https://www.drumfuneralhome.com/ They havent posted his funeral yet as we just started the arrangements today.

I will be returning back to work on friday as I have missed enough work and the sooner I return the sooner I will be over this. Hopefully I will be back to feel like coding in the next week or so. Honestly I have allready been messing with his computer and hooked it up and in fact using it now. Cant help it as I needed something to help get this off my mind. So no more nagging Jay to command line his games for fullscreen. LOL. Glad I havent lost my sense of humor.

Well its time I right that Eulogy. I will see ya'll soon.

My grandfather was in the Air Force; got married in his uniform. He was a gunner in a bomber, always has a lot of stories to tell. But not just about his time in the force either. I always love hearing his stories, from his times working with the telephone company to his narrow escapes in the armed forces... I guess a lot of life is telling stories. Tell a good one for your dad

I am feeling much better today, especially after I wrote his Eulogy that I plan on reading at his funeral. I have to admit I am much more over it today, but still feeling lost. I always turned to my dad every time I had a question and now I wont have that any more. In a way I feel as if I am alone. Even with all my family, my wife and my kids and ALL the friends that I have, cant help but feel that I am standing alone. Well at any rate before I depress any more other people with my feelings I have to go. Might be going to his house to go through more stuff.

Cya later!
