'lo all! My little Infantry revival project is coming close to it's second beta test. This real-time multiplayer action game is many years in the making, me being one of the earliest beta testers and now part of the dev team.

This release comes with a scripting engine in place, smaller game package size, and fixed lag issues, so heres to hoping it's a better experience than last time. I'm looking for testers to try out a game mode i made called 'Warfare', which centers itself around establishing a base that generates funding. Through building support structures, you can create a different setup dependent on how you wish to use your base, whether it be a stronghold for defending a resource vein, a hideout for you to retreat to when the heat is on, or just an outpost designed around refining materials into usable goods. Right now, the filesize is around 85mb in size, just as a warning, but mind you that there is alot of media involved in this game. If this is an issue, i can work at getting it even smaller, but again - I probably will not get it below ~50mb even if i reduce quality.

If anyone is interested in testing or joining the project, let me know!

What are the minimum requirements? If it'll run on my eee then I'd be willing to give it a quick test, again.

Download link is not up yet, as i am still fixing small errors.

Broadband is recommended for it, but isn't required. It would be great to see how a 56k performs on it. However, the filesize is around 85mb, just to let you know.

I'd be happy to test (it looks great!) but I can't promise I'll be awake at the time you do it.

I probably won't make it as I usually go out on Friday evenings (which is daytime in the UK). But if I don't then I'll try to keep this in mind.

Hey Mog I would be interested in helping with the programming of this probably. I have some basic c++ skills and a little opengl knowledge. I'm a fast learner and could probably catch on to everything fairly quickly. It's up to you though, not sure if you want to do all the programming by yourself or not. I'm bored and am looking to help someone else out with a project. Thanks.

ERebel55 - Most of the development now is for the server, to make it more efficient and handle certain requests/attach addons such as the LUA vm we worked into it for scripting, since the client is at a level of completeness that's worthy of a final, and "zone" development/scripting (A zone is an independent server that runs a variation on a game mode) - But if you want to help with things like that, then im happy to teach you. Add me on MSN.
