Really, this is not how you get people to agree with you. I think PETA has some serious misconceptions about, well, everything. If there are any vegetarians or vegans on here, does PETA make you proud to be one? -_-

Utterly ridiculous and completely unnecessary!

You've got to be kidding...This is insane! No one will take them seriously with crap like this.

Well that's... strange. Do they seriously think this will do themselves any good. In fact, could they even be sued? Or is that too extreme?

Well I don't see any grounds on which they could be sued... But it isn't exactly positive for their image.

I find the alternative entertaining: tofu. Good luck converting anyone with that replacement.

PETA loves manipulating people (mostly women) by showing them things that disturb them. It's so damn effective but it's sickeningly manipulative.

Think for yourselves people. Don't let an organization tell you what to think.

I hate PETA.

Maybe I'm desensitised or something, but I just thought it was funny. As Phoenix said, LOL TOFU! I'm not even vegetarian but for Christmas we're planning this lovely nut roast. There's are all sorts of vegan food which is absolutely delicious, so nobody should have to live a life of suffering eating tofu (although in a vegetable curry it is quite nice!)

Anything's nice in a curry!

Peta's probably gone too far, but everyone's too scared to suggest it to them. And if Majesco (or whoever does Cooking Mama?) dare complain, they'll be feeling the full force of Peta's "Nag Brigade".

*sigh*

This Xmas, I'll be eating a Turkey.. Because it's Xmas, and that's what you do.

Religion in my house may have slipped to a moderate 0%.
We might not pray, or think of Christ at Xmas..

But the turkey's staying!!!

It's tradition!!

I am a proud meat eater, but I also think it's important that people know where their meat comes from and treat animals respectfully. That game has some points to help give basis to their "pledge to be veg" campaign, like how many chickens and turkeys are unable to move for most of their lives. Most people don't know the conditions behind where their food comes from and how the animal was treated. Battery farming is wrong and inhumane and should be stopped.

I also think it's kinda subliminal that the later vegetarian levels are easier then the earlier meat based oens. It gives the secret impression that you are more successfuly by being vegetarian. I kinda liked that.

Do these people not understand that we are animals? We are biologically designed to eat meat and plants. They would be more successful I think, if they try to persuade lions and tigers to kill their pray in a stress-free way.

I think this is a worthy competitor to the Sea Kittens as far as PETA* idiocy goes.

I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I do occasionally cook meatless meals for the whole healthiness/whatever thing**, but then I always feel like a filthy hippie afterward, and consider myself obligated to go do something manly, like using power tools incorrectly.

The game backfired pretty epically, because now I want to buy/play Cooking Mama, which was sort of the opposite of what PETA was trying to convey. Also, that is not how cooking a bird for Thanksgiving works at all. Unless you're doing something, horribly horribly wrong, the bird should not break out in boils.

* People Eating Tasty Animals.

** Actually, I made a Tofurky stir-fry today. As an aside, I do not recommend the use of Tofurky in anything, ever. Regular Tofu is much better. Meat is even more preferable for your stir-frying needs.

I don't know what you americans eat but god gravy?
on turkey? Good old Bisto gravy for me thank you very much.

and where did they get them eggs? i have never seen blood come from eggs :S

They realy need to get rid of the people that came up with that, it does not do anything but make them look like they are after taking some illigal stuff altogether.

I actually never eat turkey because... well I don't know why really. It's just not tradition. I do eat lots of other stuff though, so I guess I'm a cooking mama. But this game didn't give me any form of compunction at all, it actually only made me happy.

The aspect of birds not being able to move is quite inhumane, as JL said, but I still can't sympathize. I guess it's got to do with the way I've been brought up. Kittens, dogs, humans -- I can genuinely feel sorry for them but when it comes to pretty much all other forms of life I'm a cold rock at the bottom of the sea, and I don't think I'm the only one who feels that way.

but I do occasionally cook meatless meals for the whole healthiness/whatever thing.

Meat isn't unhealthy.

I think that this is good. Everyone should be vegetarian.

Tofurky is better than real one anyway.

Just in particular, and I'm sure I'll have PETA idiots breathing all over me for saying this: I'm an animal person, but i also believe in natural selection. We are in the chain, and we deserve to eat. PETA says not to hunt, but imagine what happens if you don't? I'll tell you: Over saturation of ones species, which leads to competition and food depletion, which further progresses into more competition which ultimately leads to extinction. I know another argument is herd farming, which I know, the baby cows get beat the hell out of and shot in the brain... Yeah, but there are places in the world where humans are treated just as bad, it's just the place we live in.

Meat isn't bad for you like they would say, it's everything else in it that makes it bad. But stepping back from this, vegetables and fruits have herbicides in them which are none too healthy. The human body needs a huge boost of protein for normal muscle function, which you CAN get from peanuts, but meat is easier to digest.

Let Maddox sum this and all of PETA's crying up - https://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=grill - Let's reiterate: I'm not against animals, I believe in animal rights, so no, just because i eat meat doesn't mean I get some sick pleasure in seeing them die, yes, that's messed up, we get it.. as is watching a lion tear out an antelopes throat before the rest of them shred it while its heart is still beating. There are such things as feeder animals, we were once considered them!

"Over saturation of ones species, which leads to competition and food depletion, which further progresses into more competition which ultimately leads to extinction."

The world is currently way over populated with humans and because we feel that we are [more] intelligent, we think we have the right to not do anything about it. within the next couple of hundred years, the earth it going to wipe us out. Not a big problem, it will give the rest of the wildlife a chance to start over.

- Back on topic -
I am a meat eater, mostly because I've been raised to be. I have tried various fake meat, mostly it tastes good and has a bunch of health benefits when compared to real meat, but I never understood why it was developed in the first place. If vegetarians and vegans are so against eating meant, doesn't the whole idea of fake meat with the texture and flavour of real meat seem a bit sick? They are all "can't eat meat, its WRONG!!!" and then go out and admit that they NEED to eat meat, by quite happily eating something that has the same taste. If they hate the idea of eating meat so much THEY WOULDN'T EAT FAKE MEAT.

Anyhow, PETA should be ashamed for forcing their views onto other people in such a way.
