I'm planning to switch to a new account for Windows Live Messenger, but want to still keep using my old one for a few months until I'm sure all my relevant contacts have switched me over. I've always considered the official Windows Live Messenger client to be excellent, especially in recent years. But it doesn't support logging in multiple times. That means I need to switch. I used to use Pidgon on Ubuntu and thought it was crap. I could also use Trillian, but when I last used it years ago I didn't think much of it. Can anyone think of any other clients I could try? What would you recommend? |

I tried Trilly again, when I got the new Win7 PC, but.. I dunno, it didn't feel as magical as the first time I tried it. If anything, Meebo.com is everything that I need. You've just gotta keep the browser open to use it. Not sure if it supports multiple-logins under the same protocol, but it definitely does multiple-logins under different ones!! -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''

aMSN can log into more than one account. Has webcam support, and scriptable extensions if you want to show off and have Eliza do the chatting for you!

In my opinion pidgin is the best, lightweight, fast, clean gui, cross-platform, and supports irc as well. What did you dislike about it?
