I always considered the DarkBasic languages to be Amos-For-Windows. They have a very similar syntax.
But after years of Blitz's I'm not sure I can go back.

But, \o/yeay\o/, though!!

Great news, lets see if it will be useful as Blitzbasic (on PC) is.

Francois has been hinting at this for a while, it's great to see that it's now a reality.

I could not find a paypal link. You need a credit card for patreon. I am not getting one of those. I am kind of excited with this new Amos right now.

I've been following this on Facebook for a long while now. I used to love AMOS on the Amiga, but with so many languages/packages available I'm not sure how this will do.

Over on Facebook, Francois has suggested that a "Export to Unity" feature will be in the future.
That might be fun.

Just gave it a try, and it seems to work well enough. (Although it's currently in a very "in-dev" state)
Nice that it only targets javascript, though. I think that (as with my current gamedev) it means things are a teensy bit more futureproof.

One complaint, right now.
Francois REALLY needs to work on better font methods!
Currently, the "fonts.js" script is a whopping 1.6Mb!!
!!Jeebus!!!

By comparison, the current unfinished version of Browsercade (featuring nice gradiented background, a bunch of sprites, and about half a meg of sound effects) is still only totalling 1.19Mb
I'm fairly sure there's ways to compress that font down a bit!!
